Ms. Samantha’s September Newsletter
Firstly, I'd like to thank all of you for being awesome this first month of school, especially with working together with your child and our communication. Let's keep it up 🙂
Second, this month the world will come together to celebrate International Peace Day (Sept. 21). Our school has been celebrating this beautiful day for years, now, and it is time for your little ones to celebrate our coming together! On Wednesday, September 18th the children will be singing "Light a Candle for Peace" by Shelley Murley as an entire school. This celebration will begin at 9:30am on the field. I ask that you please dress your child in white for this day, maybe send a hat as well incase we are standing in the sun. Parents, you are also invited to this ceremony. And the same night @ 6:00 we will be holding a potluck at the school! Please, bring in your cultural or favorite dish for the potluck. A sign-up sheet will be posted this week. Also, I highly encourage you to practice making a peace sign with their little fingers as well as the peace song with your child at home, in the car, wherever, to familiarize them more, as the little ones can sometimes freeze up in a large group of people – we are practicing at school. 🙂
Lastly, let's all wish our little Finn a very Happy Birthday on September 16!!
Thank you, Ms. Samantha & Ms. Uma 🙂
