“Children become like the things they love”, Dr. Maria Montessori

Dear parents,

I’d like to welcome all new and returning families to CCM! These first few weeks are going to be exciting but also can be challenging for each child. Just remember that as each day goes by it will get better! Building trust, making friends, and familiarizing themselves in the classroom and with us is top priority. We want each child to feel comfortable and happy when they come to school. This year in our class we will have myself and Ms. Del. For those who don’t know Ms. Del, she has been with the school for many years. This will be my fourth year at CCM. Ms. Del and I have worked together for two years. We are both very excited to begin working with your child each day.

This month we will be celebrating Dia de Muertos, thankfulness, and Thanksgiving. We will be doing a lot of arts and crafts surrounding those subjects. We will also be working on the Montessori rules for the classroom. How we walk in the classroom, carrying and rolling rugs, talking nicely, using inside voices, and handling all materials respectfully etc.

-Please bring a water bottle everyday labeled with their first and last name
-Make sure to have two changes of clothes in their cubbies at all times
-All clothes should be labeled with their name in case they get misplaced
-The November snack calendar is posted outside our classroom and was placed in each child’s lunch box
-Please don’t forget to sing your child in and out

Important dates this month
-No school November 12th for Veterans Day
-Celebrating Thanksgiving lunch November 20th. I will be posting a sign up sheet outside the classroom on the whiteboard
-No school November 21st-23rd for Thanksgiving Break

Please, feel free to talk, text, call, or email me with any questions or concerns. It is important to keep communication clear between each other to benefit the child and help them develop and progress! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your child’s life!

Ms. Keri
