From The Desk of Roy & Kathy – March

Special Thanks

Spring is in the air as we enter into a new month! February sure was busy and we would like to give special thanks to the Chinese elder’s society that came to help us bring in the Chinese New Year. We had such a fun time dancing and celebrating and thank all of you who joined us! We would also like to thank all who came to celebrate Ms. Soma’s 10 year anniversary at CCM. Our new “10 year bench” will be a beautiful reminder of the wonderful teachers that have given so much of their love, time, and commitment to our school.

March News

Parent/Teacher Conference

The first and second week of March the 3rd -14th teachers will be meeting with parents to discuss your child’s progress. It is a good idea to come observe your child prior to your conference. An observation will help you to better understand the work and therefore enhance the discussion. If the sign up does not provide a time you are able to make please feel free to call the office or speak to your teacher.

Mr. Roy’s Movie Night

(March 14th at 6:30pm)

Are you ready for a fun family movie night?! Well, it’s that time again and we could not be more excited. Please feel free to bring your low chairs, blanket, and dinner as we sit back and enjoy Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax”.

Festival of Colors

(March 18th at 10:30am)

Holi is a spring festival also known as the festival of colours. It is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities. It is primarily observed in India, Nepal, and other regions of the world. The festival has, in recent times, spread in parts of Europe and North Americas as a spring celebration of love, frolic and colours. We are very excited to celebrate this holiday as we fill our school with color and dancing. Come join us as we invite a special dancer from India to celebrate with us. Festivities will start at 10:30.
