OCTOBER 2018 NEWSLETTER
Classroom 1: Ms. Jill’s Class
Thank you to everyone who came and participated in our Peace Day activities. The day was wonderful and the kids were so happy to have you here.
October 26th we will be having our annual festival and costume parade from 9:00-11:00. After each class takes a turn marching around the field we will have carnival style games to play. You are welcome to join us for this event. Please bring your child in costume that day. Please make sure that costumes do not restrict eyesight. No weapons or extra accessories that could be used as weapons. Each class is responsible for putting together 2 events. We have decided on a photo booth and soccer goal shootout. These have been very successful in the past. We will need a few parents to help set up and work at the stations in shifts during the event.
There will be an Usborne book fair in classroom #2, October 1-4. Please come by to shop. I love these books- they are great quality and educational. I’m sure your family will find some treasures.

AREAS OF STUDY
This month we are continuing our study of the desert. We will also start learning about holiday traditions around the world. We begin with Dia De Los Muertos, which takes place right after Halloween.
We are collecting socks, underwear, and bras for St. Vincent De Paul. We will be collecting until October 19. Please help us fill our donation box. The class with the most donations receives an Einstein Bagel Party!
Our class picture day is October 12. The photographer will be on campus in the morning to take pictures. The photos will be available for purchase that afternoon at pick up.
