Classroom 1: Ms. Jill’s Class

Parents:

Thank you for all of your time and donations that made our Fall Festival so much fun. The kids had a blast! You really came through and helped out many families in our undergarment drive as well. We tied with Ms. Angelica’s class in collecting items. There will be an Einstein Bagel party around the corner.

The parent teacher conferences were great. It’s always a pleasure sharing with you how wonderful your children are doing in school.

We had so much fun celebrating Day of the Dead. It was really beautiful to hear the children sharing stories of the family members they chose to honor for the celebration.

THANKSGIVING LUNCH

We will be having a traditional feast on Tuesday, November 20th in our classroom. We will be making some of the food in class but I will have a sign up posted for this potluck style event. The kids always enjoy having the families participate. These events are a great time to get to know the other families in our classroom too.

AREAS OF STUDY

This month we are learning about the people, plants and animals, that live in the Grasslands. You can bring in any books or souvenirs pertaining to the Grasslands.

Thank you to everyone who came and participated in our Peace Day activities. The day was wonderful and the kids were so happy to have you here.

FALL FESTIVAL
October 26th we will be having our annual festival and costume parade from 9:00-11:00. After each class takes a turn marching around the field we will have carnival style games to play. You are welcome to join us for this event. Please bring your child in costume that day. Please make sure that costumes do not restrict eyesight. No weapons or extra accessories that could be used as weapons. Each class is responsible for putting together 2 events. We have decided on a photo booth and soccer goal shootout. These have been very successful in the past. We will need a few parents to help set up and work at the stations in shifts during the event.
BOOK FAIR
There will be an Usborne book fair in classroom #2, October 1-4. Please come by to shop. I love these books- they are great quality and educational. I’m sure your family will find some treasures.
